Prof. Dr. Roland Bodmeier

Chief Executive Officer and Founder

Prof. Roland Bodmeier is Professor of Pharmaceutical Technology at the College of Pharmacy at the Freie Universität Berlin, Germany. Prof. Bodmeier studied Pharmacy at the Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München (Germany), received a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics at the University of Texas at Austin (USA) and a Dr. rer. nat. habil from the University of Regensburg (Germany).

 

Prof. Bodmeier served as an Assistant/Associate Professor at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Texas at Austin (1986-1994) before he moved to his current position. His research focuses on innovative drug delivery systems with controlled drug release (peroral systems, microencapsulation, biodegradable implants/microparticles) and the delivery of poorly soluble drugs and has resulted in more than 200 publications and 35 patents/-applications. Prof. Bodmeier has graduated more than 60 Ph.D. students. His research has been funded by various public funding agencies and by dozens of major pharmaceutical, chemical and biotech companies. Prof. Bodmeier co-founded Pensatech Pharma in 2012.

Dr. Martin Körber

Director Research & Development

Dr. Martin Körber has worked for more than 14 years on the characterization and understanding of controlled release products and their manufacturing processes for global pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Körber is experienced in the rational design of formulation technologies for oral and parenteral delivery of drugs.

Dr. Körber studied pharmacy and holds a doctorate degree in Pharmaceutical Technology from Freie Universität Berlin (Germany). Dr. Körber has worked for B. Braun Melsungen AG (Germany) with responsibility for the pharmaceutical development of drug-eluting angioplasty products, including analytical developments, specification setting and process validation as well as the preparation/ execution of regulatory approval processes before joining Pensatech Pharma in 2013.

Prof. Dr. Philippe Maincent

Director of Regulatory Affairs

Prof. Philippe Maincent is Emeritus Professor of Pharmaceutics at the College of Pharmacy at the Université de Lorraine, France. Prof. Maincent studied pharmacy at the Université de Rennes (France), received a Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences at the Université Paris-Saclay (France) and a Habilitation à diriger les recherches from the Université de Lorraine (France).

Prof. Maincent has worked for several years with the French National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products (Afssaps, ANSM) as expert for pharmaceuticals parts of the marketing authorization application (1994-2003), as vice-President of the Marketing Authorization Committee, President of the Pharmaceutical Working group and President of the Generic Working Group (2003 -2007), as a member of the Marketing Authorization Committee, Pharmaceutical Working group and Generic Working Group (2007-2012) and as external assessor (2013-2018). His research focuses on new drug delivery systems with emphasis on controlled release, polymers, micro and nanoencapsulation, drug targeting and oral delivery of macromolecules and has resulted in more than 145 publications, 3 book chapters, 3 patents and more than 150 communications. Prof. Maincent has worked with Pensatech Pharma since its foundation in 2012.

Dr. Luisa Duque

Manager Business Development

Dr. Luisa Duque has more than 9 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry working in the areas of product and process development and quality assurance. Dr. Duque is an expert in the development of parenteral controlled release systems and is proficient in quality management systems with emphasis on GMP and ISO 9001. 

Dr. Duque is a pharmacist by training and holds a doctorate degree in Pharmaceutical Technology from Freie Universität Berlin (Germany). Dr. Duque has worked for Innocore Pharmaceuticals (The Netherlands) managing projects for the development of polymer-based injectable drug delivery products, including formulation, process and analytical development and validation activities, as well as the implementation of a quality management system according to current GMP. Dr. Duque joined Pensatech Pharma in 2018.
